My Bubly Flavour Journey - Apple

Hello. It has been a little while since my last Bubly post. I’ve been focused on a couple other writing things and this fell to the backburner for a bit. Now I’m back. Now I have that other newly permanent, returning flavour to cover before I get back into the few other permanent flavours I haven’t written about yet.

Apple Bubly came around a couple years ago. It was the summer of Bubly for me, and a summer I wouldn’t forget. There was a brand new, limited time flavour, and it was the best flavour. It was apple. Green apple. And I loved every single can I drank. Then it went away, and I chased that high for years. I was one of those people that would wonder why it wasn’t coming back every time Bubly announced a new limited flavour. I was one of those people who questioned why it was readily available in the United States, but not here in Canada. It’s back now, and it’s back permanently. I’m happy!

There’s a stronger taste to Apple Bubly than you get from, I think, any other flavour of the drink. Perhaps that’s because the best apples are juicy and wet. Not soggy. There’s still that apple crunch to them. But the watery juice drips down your face all the same, every time you take a bite. That’s a good apple. That sensation of the wet taste might just translate well to an apple flavoured sparkling water.

The strong taste comes through with every sip. It never weakens. It never strengthens. It is consistent the whole way through. The smell is there, too. To be completely honest, I’ve got some springtime allergies going on, so I have one nostril clogged up at this moment. The other nostril is picking up that smell, though. Things are still going fairly well. The smell gives that same feel as the taste. It’s delightful.

Something about Apple Bubly sits perfectly with my palate.

Now, since Apple Bubly is my favourite flavour of Bubly, it would only be right for me to pair it with my favourite Michael Bublé song. The guy has done many, many, many, many, many cover songs. One of those is my favourite of his work. It’s a song called Feeling Good, a song that I don’t know I’ve heard a bad version of. I’m sure there are bad versions out there. They simply haven’t crossed my ears. Anyway, Apple Bubly is the Feeling Good of Bubly flavours.

One final thing must be done before I head out. Here’s the current ranking of Bubly flavours: Apple, peach, blackberry, merryberry, pineapple, watermelon, mango, lime, coconut pineapple, and finally cherry.
